"What to do"
Gonna miss the world but I can't stay here for nuts. I need to move on already. And it makes it a lot easier when I don't have to read what you say.

Mid-autumn festival!
Firstly: photos do not belong to me. Credits goes to all the websites I found by searching up different mooncakes on google images. Too many websites to credit...
http://sparklette.net/food/mooncakes/
It's mid-autumn festival now in Singapore!! Or as I've learned in my Chinese class, zhong qiu jie! It's a very exciting time of the year because many cake shops and bread shops start promoting and stocking up mooncakes BEFOREHAND. And there are lanterns hanging on ground level in the mall!
Normally I do not celebrate it. Even more seldom do I eat mooncakes. But this time I feel the hype and the enthusiasm of this festival, especially when my friends are getting me to celebrate with them! All my life I've never celebrated zhong qiu jie, so I'm very excited. It's a privilege to be able to experience another culture and I'm caught in this yue bing fervour (mooncakes are called yue bing in Chinese) such that my cravings for mooncakes have really started hearing up! Thus explaining the search and hunt for the different delicious looking mooncakes on the Internet.
As for now my friends and I have not yet celebrated the festival because probably we are far too busy and can't find time to buy mooncakes. But I really do hope we get to celebrate it. It'll be a historical point in my life. Not to forget a memorable one.

Everybody makes
Mistakes.
Human nature; with all that
Failure.
Double takes. Second shots.
A glance or two
But I'm not sure where I'm heading
The impatience that grew within
You.
Oh How I'd find those scars,
Turn on the tap,
Let the water run,
Tell the child (it's okay!!) that wept
The child in me that seeks the sun,
That only comes out
When the scars are gone.
The water pours,
The scars heal,
A faint shade of red,
Like the sun; like it's all yours.
I found the error.
And now I know no terror!
I can make things right.
The sun smiles at me, so bright.
Yes you can.
But you there choose to
Ignore
The scars that run deep
And the bruises that grew
Sore.
You hated creases,
You hated crinking.
You seeked perfection without the art
Of perfecting.
And by default
You are are an art.
A masterpiece.
A reminder to me that your hunt for perfection at the least
Was imperfect.
Was just a gist.

Baking cravings
I've been fantasizing of baking these treats for a while. I guess I have to wait until my exams are over! Just another 3 more weeks to the start of O levels. Then another 3 weeks to THE END of it.
I. Just. Can't. Wait.

If you love tea 💛💚💜
My friend gave me this picture and I thought it was very lovely so I'm going to share it. Reasons to love tea!
Personally I love only milk tea. Other teas that I drink would be those bottled sweetened teas which actually contain VERY few tea leaves that they don't actually contain any benefits that naturally brewed teas carry. I love Rosemary milk tea and ceylon teas too. But I'm not an ardent fan of tea, which could mean a good thing, because tea stains the teeth and gives it a subtle yellow tinge.

Seven-year-old kitty!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sandra!
*** 17 November 2012 ***
Time really flies, doesn't it? This cat is the cutest family I've ever had. A whole post on her and spam of kitty pictures! This was taken around 12 midnight. Her birthday just began.
Another picture is Sandra appearing to be a decoration, but she pulled if off well!
Then a photo of her looking like Mufasa. Lo behold, King Mufasa. No, no. That doesn't sound right. Queen Mufasa.
49 cat years...
That moment when humans say Hi and cats just stares back. Unbelievably rude. #sandramoments
Dragging your food out of the silver bowl onto the floor and then licking the food as well as the floor. Mmmm... Savoury floor-flavoured. #sandramoments
Pretending not to hear them when they call your name but your ear twitches so noticeably. #sandramoments
Jumping on bags, digging your head into a school bag. Scratching papers in the school bag. #sandramoments
Running out to the garden to eat grass and then vomiting it out 5 minutes later! #sandramoments #funny
Some things that make Sandra Sandra. Happy birthday!!!

Your bitterness my sweet
Tears flow down her eyes. Those words you hiss like a stab in the heart. All I could say was congratulations.
But I'm feeling sick. Smiling
For the wrong reasons. All I needed
Was a reason.
Every excuse that I grasp at like straws.
All no match for your tears.
And if I ever felt like your bitterness was like sweetener in my coffee
It was artificial and what grew was fear
That I became something that
Was not me.

Divergent series
My first book review! Since I'm gonna post short stories here, I thought I should recommend good reads too.
DIVERGENT series: story line
Rather unique! You will love this book if you love reading about adventures. The whole setting is original and creative.
Plot is well-developed and the suspense can kill! I think my sister couldn't put the book down when she read it.
Themes:
Adventure, friendship, betrayal, even a bit of romance.
The romance makes the characters seem more real and not asexual like the characters in hunger games. On certain pages, fear is induced and on others, hope instead. Not forgetting, sadness and hopeless. The book has a good mix of emotions for a person to feel.
Characters:
Best part of the novel to me. I love characters that are complex and well-developed because it makes them more real. Characters are not "too good to be true". The book is very character-oriented, if I may quote my sister. After reading the book, the characters are still memorable and dear in my head.
Action:
Oh, this is the bit where adventurous people like! I'm kidding. This is the part where people cringe or have a small voice in their head screaming "STOP!!!!!!". There are fights and violence in this book but no, it's not like any other fight you can find in another book. Veronica's writing makes the violence disturbing and painful to read. The good use of visual and sensory imageries, I salute you, Mrs. Roth!
Downsides of book:
Heard of killing off characters unnecessarily? It happens in the second book. This is just in my opinion. It was sad when the characters died, but the sadness was very shortlived for some of them because they weren't mentioned in any other part of the book later on. Or the sadness was not prolonged through the characters who were grieving in that one page. The characters who died would have left an even more powerful impact if they were more remembered.
Many characters died. It was too difficult to feel like it was a happy ending but somehow the other characters were happy in the end. I felt that that made the characters' real feelings flawed. Better to acknowledge a teeny weeny bit of sadness even in the last page.
Overall:
Very good!! Worth reviewing. 4 out of 5 stars ✨✨✨✨
My opinion on Divergent!
Pardon me if everything sounds pretty general, I wouldn't want to give much away! You're in for big surprises and shocks.

More Than Just A Hometown
It begins at birth.
When Babies cry and set foot on Earth.
That little ground I call hometown.
That red and green passport that makes me who I am
Or rather that tiny certificate that tells me who I am.
Disaster strikes.
All from the East!
The principal booms into the mike,
'Bound to fail, be last or least.'
I try to prove myself.
Every try follwed fail.
Everything I did, I did to no avail.
The tears stop, sadness fades.
Bitterness sets in.
Resentment dictates.
Mama if I had known I would have
Asked in your womb.
I would have whispered if there was
Somewhere else.
Some other place I could be born or
Groomed.
My words broke your heart.
But what about mine? The heart that
Hurts,
The soul knows no word.
Mama my heart hurts more.
But you turn on you heel, straight for
the door.
Anger. Regret.
More than anything, more than
everything,
Not YOUR tears. Not YOUR cries.
Not your sadness I want to hear.
And for you I will
Pull myelf together, move up the hill.
No more going down,
No more hurting you Mama
No more making you
Frown
With my wishes for something better
Than what you've given me mother.
I'll prove to them.
Doesn't matter where we come from -
East, South, North, West.
What I do, I'll do my best.
Doesn't matter where the sun is rising or ending
'Cause I am done letting
Them choose my fate.
From now I let myelf constellate
So I choose my own finishing
My own fate.
